Conversation from the English wiki

Hello Kroszki! I am happy to add fish behavior to Sablon:Infobox fish. Anyone can edit most templates (Sablonok), but you must be careful what you change. It's complicated. There is a link to mediawiki at the bottom of every page of the wiki, it may be useful to browse the help pages there to get familiar with wiki syntax. There are a few links on my English user page that may be a good place to start. Also, you can ask me or Katzeus!

Automatic translation of item names (like "Wood" or "Chocolate Cake") happen in Sablon:Name. Items like the "Slime Egg-Press" that are not automatically translated don't have an entry in the template. In this case, you can add an entry in the template (carefully!) -- or -- use the syntax {{name|Slime Egg Press|link=Ragacsos tojásprés}}, which produces Slime Egg-Press.png Ragacsos tojásprés.

I have updated Sablon:Infobox weapon, so the "type" of weapon now shows. Most of the template is still in English, and since I don't speak Hungarian, you can provide translations, and I can edit the infobox, if you wish. Or, you can (carefully) make translations to the template yourself. ;)

I've changed the main page to say "Ételek" for food. There is an issue, though, with the translation. The Hungarian translation uses "Étel" for "food", seen just below the name of the food whenever you have a food item in inventory, and "Ételek" on the cooking tab of the in-game menu (the collections/achievements menu). So, the Hungarian wiki must follow the game. The page name should be "Ételek". Then the first paragraph must be a little different on the Hungarian wiki. It can say something like "Food is created by cooking. Cooking is a game mechanic that becomes available after upgrading the farmhouse...." A small difference in wording, but a big difference for people searching for words they see in-game. I will create a redirect from "Főzés" to "Ételek", to make translating less tricky.

I think that covers your questions. I hope it helps! Thank you for translating the wiki, good luck, and let me know if you have any more questions! margotbean (vita) 2020. december 1., 18:37 (UTC)

Hi Margotbean! I'm glad your answer helped me a lot. I've read your page and links already. Your description is intresting from the Sablon:Name page because the page includes |128|pufferfish=Gömbhal but the Hal page it's not translated just one reference Angolna (I'm sorry but I've only translated this one page)
It's important I see you edit Receptek section but it contains a mistake- the different eel recipe names appear in the eladási ár (sell price) column instead of the name(név) column. If i had to guess, the template contains some kind of mistake.

Hello again! Sablon:Name automatically translates only items that use it, like {{name|Pufferfish}}. It doesn't translate all links, like [[Pufferfish]], unfortunately. And, you don't have to apologize for not translating something!! You should enjoy the game most importantly, and translate the wiki second.  :)
The Receptek section will look normal when the other pages are created. Until then, it's normal that it looks like it does. No worries! margotbean (vita) 2020. december 2., 18:06 (UTC)
